It was the Collier County schools that brought Frank Amador to Naples. They are the reason he stays. After arriving in Miami from Cuba seven years ago, Amador worked for several years as a custodian at Miami Community College. But when it came time for his wife and now 9-year-old daughter, Veronica, to join him, Amador decided to move. Full story »

“I thought it was a joke at first,” Citizen sports editor Ken Lane recalls of the publisher’s suggestion to provide little variety over the summer months. “But then I realized he wasn’t kidding. He really wanted us to do a swimsuit edition!” What started out as an amusing venture soon turned into a concept piece, utilizing the small paper’s talented photographers and graphic designers to create the special issue.
